Fitting Instructions
Everything you need to fit your WoodlandByKat handles perfectly. Watch the video guide below or follow the written steps.
What's included
- 1 × handmade wooden handle
- Fixing screws (M4 × 32mm as standard). If you need longer screws for thicker panels, just let us know in the special request field when ordering
If you need a different screw size or hole spacing, use the Special request field on the product page when ordering.
Tools you'll need
- Pencil and tape measure
- Drill with a bit suitable for your panel material
- Screwdriver (cross-head / Pozidrive)
- Optional: masking tape (prevents chipping on painted/laminate fronts)
Step-by-step installation
- 1
Mark your hole positions
Hold the handle against the door front where you'd like it positioned. Mark through the pre-drilled fixing holes with a pencil. Double-check alignment with a tape measure before drilling.
- 2
Drill pilot holes
Drill through the panel at your marked positions using a 6mm drill bit. Apply masking tape over the drill point to avoid chipping on delicate finishes.
- 3
Attach the handle
Insert the included screws through the back of the panel and into the handle's fixing holes. Tighten by hand first, then use a screwdriver to secure firmly. Do not overtighten — this can crack the wood.
- 4
Check and enjoy
Give the handle a firm pull to confirm it's secure. Check again after the first few weeks of use and re-tighten if needed.
Tips & notes
- For thinner panels (<16mm), use shorter screws to avoid the tip protruding through the front.
- Natural wood variations in grain and colour are not defects — each handle is unique.
- After fitting, wipe any pencil marks away with a slightly damp cloth.
